Who we are

We are a team of professionals who see our work as a vocation. We value careful manufacturing, effective devices and satisfied patients whose treatment progress we can follow. Our aim is to reduce discomfort and make daily life easier. We believe our results and our patients' experience speak for our work.

How it began

Ing. Pavel Černý, Ph.D., our leading specialist in scoliosis orthoses, is recognised both in the Czech Republic and internationally. After graduating from a technical university, he began working in research and development at the Research Prosthetics Centre. The political changes of 1989 opened up opportunities to work abroad as an orthotist-prosthetist specialising in scoliosis braces. After returning, he established his own practice, initially as a sole trader, and founded ORTOTIKA as a limited liability company in 1997.

Our main focus is the conservative treatment of scoliosis using individually made spinal braces informed by international developments and SOSORT guidelines. Our research, publications and teaching are presented in a dedicated professional section.

Throughout our history, we have focused on making precise, effective devices using modern approaches, technology and materials. We want patients to leave with more than a positive experience: our goal is a meaningful treatment benefit that improves their condition and quality of life. We work closely with specialist doctors as a coordinated team.
