Orthoses
Spinal orthoses
We choose a spinal orthosis that balances treatment requirements with comfort. We provide rigid and flexible designs, including fabric corsets. Our main focus is scoliosis treatment: each brace is individually shaped using spinal X-rays, overall posture and the flexibility of the curve.
Brace design draws on current knowledge of curve correction and shaping. We aim for the greatest correction appropriate for the individual patient. Custom spinal orthoses are prescribed when a suitable ready-made device is unavailable, particularly for:
• scoliosis
• excessive kyphosis or lordosis
• compression fractures, injuries and inflammatory spinal conditions
• stabilisation after spinal surgery
• custom cervical collars for children or adults
Different patients need different types of brace. Our orthotists-prosthetists assess each person's needs. For scoliosis, we shape the brace using spinal X-rays to achieve the best possible treatment effect. Appropriate brace design requires experience and knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics.
Limb orthoses
Our work mainly addresses childhood conditions and includes:
• positioning and immobilisation splints for the upper and lower limbs
• orthoses for genu valgum (knock knees) or genu varum (bow legs)
• corrective orthoses for clubfoot (talipes equinovarus)
• Nancy Hylton orthoses • Becker lower-limb derotation devices
• Atlanta hip orthoses
We can also make various dynamic splints for the upper and lower limbs.
Custom seating orthoses
Production of custom seating orthoses is currently suspended for technical and manufacturing reasons.
Custom seating orthoses are intended for patients whose needs cannot be met by standard seating systems, most often because they require a specially shaped seat for clinical reasons.
Measurements are taken using a vacuum positioning bag or a 3D scanner, depending on the patient's needs and the clinical situation. Seating orthoses are made from high-quality materials with durable covers to support comfort.
The covers can be easily removed for washing. A custom-shaped seating orthosis can be fitted to most suitable wheelchair or mobility bases, according to the patient's needs.

Cranial orthoses
Has your baby had endoscopic surgery for craniosynostosis, or do you need protection for an injured skull? We make custom cranial orthoses for children and adults using a 3D scan of the patient's head.

Insoles
Foot orthoses
Custom foot orthoses are tailored to each patient using an impression of the foot. They can be made for conditions including:
• hallux valgus (bunions)
• transverse or longitudinal flatfoot
• valgus or varus heel alignment
Depending on individual needs and the prescribed device code, options include fully custom foot orthoses for more complex deformities, modified prefabricated orthoses for milder conditions, Superfeet insoles for higher loads such as sport, and proprioceptive foot orthoses.
